"Nasi impit dia sedap sangat – rasa macam masakan orang dulu-dulu. Roti kaya pula homemade, tekstur gebu dengan rasa kaya yang tak terlalu manis. Suasana kedai pun selesa, layanan mesra. Memang puas hati!"

"Good nasi lemak ayam berempah, peknga Pisang and roti jala with the in-season durian kuah (gravy) How do one tell if a kampung-style eatery is worth a visit? My own 2 pointers, first the crowd. Second. The nasi lemak and sambal. What drew me was the morning crowd, which explains the 4.1 *. And the nasi lemak was GOOD. The rice is mildly fragrant, fluffy and grainy. The sambal, not overly sweet or spicy hot, and yet packs a lot of flavours. Mix that up with hard boiled egg, crispy ikan bilis (no nuts served for this version), the sweet spicy sambal, and sneak in a portion of ayam berempah, and you have your day made for you! The ayam is also flavourful. The batter has a robust taste of galangal. The meat was tender, and is infused with galangal and spices too. And importantly, not oily as some ayam berempah tends to be. All in all, a very dependable and "will-go-back'" nasi lemak. And it's my first time trying peknga Pisang. I rather like it! Its like a cross of flour kuih with mashed sweet Pisang, that is pan fried. The caramelised part is charred to perfection. A slice of the chewy, yet sweet and savory peknga is heavenly especially when paired with kopi o kosong. The bitterness of the kopi balances the sweet savory treat. The roti jala is also delish. Not too chewy, dry or starchy, just the way I like it. And the savory roti with the kuah durian, what a divine pairing, sinful for a morning brekkie. But then... YOLO! Will definitely return to try the other dishes. Quite an extensive menu to pick from. Service is warm and welcoming. Did not dine in, so can't comment on it. Update: back to try the Mee goreng, ayam berempah (again), and ikan goreng. All of which is to my liking. Ayam is consistent. The Mee goreng is generous, wet, slightly sweet and spicy enough for my taste buds."

"A great find. We were searching for a breakfast place in Sg Petani and are very happy to have discovered this gem. They serve breakfast and lunch. In term of the theme, it’s classic Malay from the P Ramlee era (Malaya). For our first visit, we ordered Nasi Lemak Cerek, Nasi Goreng Cabai Kering and Pek Nga Gulai Ikan Temenung. We were very delighted with the taste, quality and quantity of the foods. Service was also quick and the waiters were polite. Prices are also standard. As their menu is quite extensive, we will definitely come again to sample them all soon."

"Went with my spouse yesterday late morning to try this brekkie food. Ordered : nasi lemak telur mata - anchovies and groundnut; fresh and crunchy - sambal a bit on sourside expect a bit more and punchy - rice grainy and good creamy from coconut Peknga (coconut savoury pancake) with mackerel curry. Peknga - nice smell of coconut shred Mackerel curry - nice, thick and really enjoy eating with peknga Kopi O Cerek - i think becaused it overbrew in that kettle the coffee become too ‘acidic’ aftertaste and left my tummy a bit of discomfor after consuming it. Perhaps also the selection of coffee beans as well - suggest to rebrew 1-3 hours in small batch. Price of all food rm17.80. Partially pricey but nowadays all food price hike a bit more. Anyway enjoying eating. Will try mee kicap and others later"
